Watchlist Overview

Watchlists are custom groups of tickers that you create and name. They provide a convenient way to monitor tickers you are interested in, such as for different investment strategies. For instance, you could maintain a watchlist titled “Possible Buys” and another titled “Possible Sells.”

While similar to portfolios, watchlists are simpler because they do not track quantities, cash balances, or purchase prices.

Stock Rover allows you to set up multiple watchlists, enabling you to organize tickers by various criteria—such as “Value Stocks,” “Dividend Stocks,” or “Momentum Stocks”—each in its own dedicated list.

Just like a portfolio, you can chart a watchlist to compare its performance against individual stocks, market indices, industries, other portfolios, or even other watchlists. When a watchlist is charted, Stock Rover assumes an equal amount of capital is allocated to each stock within that list.
