Future Income Overview

The Future Income Tool projects your expected dividend income on a monthly basis for the portfolios you select. This monthly income is computed using the individual stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds within those holdings.

Projections are based on recent dividend payment history. The tool assumes no immediate increases or decreases to the current dividend rates. Since many companies strive to increase dividends over time, these projections can often be considered conservative.

Conversely, funds and companies may vary, cut, or eliminate dividends during times of financial stress, meaning projections could be optimistic in certain market conditions. The accuracy of the forecast ultimately depends on the specific assets held within your portfolio.

Accessing Future Income

Future Income is located under Portfolio Tools in the Start Menu. If it is not currently visible, you can add it by customizing your Start Menu. Simply click the hamburger icon (☰) in the upper-left corner of the Start Menu to access your configuration options.

Future Income Selection

Upon selecting Future Income, the display is divided into two sections: the Navigation Panel (listing available and selected portfolios) and the Future Income Table, as shown in the screenshot below.

Note: The advanced Future Income Tool is included in our Premium and Premium Plus subscription plans. However, a basic Future Income display is available to all users in the Stock Rover Dashboard.

You can watch a video demonstration of the Future Income tool here. (Please note that this video features an earlier version of the interface, so minor visual differences may exist.)
