In this video, we’ll walk through five of the most powerful features Stock Rover has to offer.
Let’s dive in and explore how these features can help you invest with confidence.

#1 Screeners

Stock Rover is known for its powerful screeners, which can quickly find and rank stocks and ETFs.
To access them, go to My Collections and select Screeners. Stock Rover provides a complete set of default screeners, each built around a different investment strategy, and you can import more than 150 additional screeners from the Investor’s Library.

Here, we’ll run the Safe Performers screener.
It’s a ranked screener, returning up to the top 50 tickers that best match the criteria in ranked order. Results appear in the Table using a selected View — in this case, the Historical Returns view. Stock Rover ships with many pre-built views, all organized into folders.

We can also use the special Screener Filters view, which displays screener filters as columns and updates dynamically with each run.
To modify a screener, right-click to adjust filters — for example, increasing Institutional Ownership Percent from 60 to 70 reduces passing tickers from 21 to 16. The Preview pane shows results instantly, and you can test tickers to see why they failed.

Clicking Save and Run in Table refreshes the results and displays each filter as a column.
We can also build a screener from scratch. For example, for ETFs, we’ll add three filters: Morningstar Rating greater than four stars, three-year Return vs. S&P 500 greater than 5%, and Expense Ratio less than 0.20%. The Preview pane shows 17 passing ETFs, which we’ll save as “My ETF Screener.”

#2 The Table

The Table lets you compare stocks and ETFs across a wide range of financial, operational, and performance metrics.
Here we’re using the Dividend Growth and Consistency portfolio with the Portfolio Performance view. Views are collections of metrics, where each column represents a metric. Stock Rover ships with over 50 Views, with many more available in the Investor’s Library.

Switching to the Dividend Growth Yield view, we can sort by payout ratio, filter for ratios above 70%, or clear the filter entirely.
The Table is fully customizable with row options, column additions, and sorting tools, making it a flexible workspace for research and comparison.

#3 Portfolios

Stock Rover helps you manage and analyze portfolios in multiple ways.
You can link to your brokerage via Brokerage Connect for automatic updates, or manually create portfolios by entering positions, transactions, or importing holdings from a file.

Analytics are central to portfolio management in Stock Rover.
For a selected portfolio, you can review Value Over Time, Holdings Detail, and Monthly Returns (as heat maps or bar charts). You can also see performance versus the S&P 500, as well as yearly returns, giving you a full picture of absolute and relative performance.

#4 Charting

Stock Rover’s charts provide powerful visualization tools for price trends and performance.
From My Collections, selecting World → Dow 30, we can chart Apple over the past two years in the Chart layout.

Charts can toggle between dollar and percentage views, use a logarithmic scale, or switch to candlestick and OHLC modes. Benchmarks such as the S&P 500 can be added or removed with a click, and benchmarks can also serve as a baseline for relative comparison.

We can overlay events such as earnings, add technical indicators like MACD, or display fundamental metrics like price-to-earnings and price-to-sales.
Charts are highly configurable: you can adjust order, expand or hide sections, and fully control the display.

#5 Research Reports

Stock Rover delivers Research Reports for 7,000+ stocks — real-time snapshots that static reports can’t match.
For example, Apple’s eight-page report provides detailed analysis, including quantitative scores, valuation and growth summaries, profitability and returns, earnings surprises, seasonality, peer comparisons, and dividend details.

Reports can be viewed online or downloaded as PDFs, offering organized, timely insights at your fingertips.
