This is Ken Leoni Vice President of Marketing at Stock Rover. In this video we’ll show you how to use a unique and powerful capability called Quotes.

  • Quotes allow you to quickly add tickers to the Table for comparative analysis
  • These tickers can be viewed alongside any dataset
  • Datasets include:
    • Portfolios
    • Watchlists
    • Screeners
    • or any dataset we load into the Table such as in Index

Adding Quotes

We’ll start by loading the Table with a dataset from a screener.

We’ll go to “Screeners”, and we have selected our GARP – Essentials screener and we are displaying in the Table using the Basic Valuation view.

Quotes allow us to quickly display tickers for comparative analysis. We see at the top next to the Stock Rover logo an “Enter Ticker” box. Here we can quickly add tickers to Quotes List.

I’ll add Axcelis Technologies, Brown & Brown, and Fortinet.

We now see that our tickers have been added to the Table and they are also bolded with an “x” next to them. We can now readily compare these tickers with the tickers that passed the screener’s criteria.

Notice we see Quotes with a 3 in parentheses at the top of the screen, indicating that there are 3 tickers on our Quotes List. We can also add tickers to the Quotes List by selecting the pulldown. We’ll add Microsoft, Meta and Ubiquiti and we’ll hit enter and “Done”.

We see the tickers have all been added, but the Ubiquiti, the ticker “UI” isn’t bolded. That’s because the ticker is already part of the original dataset. So, it is both on the Quotes List and in the screener results.

Removing Quotes

When I click on the “x” next to ACLS, the ticker is removed from the Table and we can see the Quote List count is now 5.

When I click on the “x” next to Ubiquiti, the ticker is removed from the Quotes List, it is now at 4. However, Ubiquity still remains in the Table because it is part of the screener’s dataset.

We can also remove tickers by going to the pulldown. We can either select to “Remove All” or selectively removed individual tickers.

Turning Quotes On and Off

To clear the Quotes List and effectively turn Quotes off we’ll click on the “x”. We now see that Quotes have been removed from the dataset and there is a “+” where the “x” was.

Clicking on “+” turns Quotes back on by populating the Quotes List with the last set of active tickers.

Recent Quotes

To bring back Quotes that have recently been removed from the Active Quote List, simply click on the pulldown. On the right we see Recent Quotes. Selecting a ticker adds it back to the Active Quotes List. Note we can “Add All” to the Active Quotes List or we can “Remove All” Recent Quotes. Here we see the ticker ACLS has been added back to the Table.

Displaying Quotes as a Dataset

To view Quotes as its own dataset, we’ll go to World and we’ll select Quotes in the navigation pane. The Table is now loaded with the tickers from the Quotes List only.

Note the pulldown in the Navigation Panel allows us to manage the Quotes List.
