Stock Rover™ Announces the Release of V4.4

Braintree, MA - July 1, 2014

Today Stock Rover LLC released version 4.4 of Stock Rover, which features a redesign of the tablet app, an upgraded news facility, and a new tool for Premium users called Portfolio Modeling. Also included in this release are a handful of new metrics and a number of performance improvements.

The redesigned tablet app offers users a roomier, more intuitive user interface, as well as increased functionality, such as the ability to modify table columns. To access the updated tablet app, users can simply login to Stock Rover from the browser on their tablet. The upgrade has also been submitted to the Apple Store and will also be available through that channel soon. trades. Selecting ‘Edit Trades’ opens a list of the portfolio’s trading history where new trades can be added or old ones can be modified.

In the main web app, Portfolio Modeling is the signature component of V4.4. Developed based on user feedback, this feature allows users to plan trades and model alternative versions of their portfolios. They can then compare the model against their current portfolio in a variety of metrics and analytics such as sector balance, dividend change, and volatility and risk metrics. Thus, Portfolio Modeling creates the opportunity to clearly understand the impact of potential trades across many key portfolio data points.

Based on user feedback, the Stock Rover News facility, found in the Insight panel, now aggregates news feeds from multiple news sources. This means that, for market, ticker, or portfolio news, users can select multiple news feeds from which to view stories, rather than just one feed at a time. Clicking on a news story opens it up in a new window (right-click to view the story in another tab).

In addition these three key upgrades, new metrics have been added to Stock Rover with this release:

The following metrics have been added:

  • 10-year Return, as well as vs. Sector, vs. S&P, and vs. Industry values
  • 8 new custom metrics relating to 10-year data and 120-day price averages—Premium users can find these in the Library
  • Selling General And Administration
  • Other Income Expense

More detail about these changes can be found in the Stock Rover blog.
